Please note. Horses with these markings are only available through imports. You may not create a horse with these genes since they are supposed to be rare. But you may buy or breed a horse with the gene.

--

- Ticking
- Barrai ("bars" in irish gaelic)
- Ceimnithe ("fade" in irish gaelic")

The double version (for example, BrrBrr to those who aren't familiar with gene codes), is the homogenous form. This means that it will pass along to all offspring.
nBrr (heterogeneous) will only pass along to the offspring when bred to a BrrBrr or nBrr horse.

I can understand if you have a marking similar to ticking in a horse since it sort of resembles/is based off of a similar marking in dogs. But please do not copy the others as they are specific to the Ceimard breed.
Barring on the shoulder is probably in no means original, but if you were to make a breed that only barred the shoulder on cream or peal coats or that resembled rabicano in that area, I would be slightly suspicious unless the breed was created before the Ceimard.

Ok, so if you breed a splash and sabino together you get a tic foal?

No. The tic gene has to be in the bloodline already, but the horse has to exhibit both splash and sabino in order for it to show. All of these are recessive and passed along through lineage.

What if the foal does exhibit both splash and sabino though?

If it doesn't have the Tic gene somewhere in it's bloodline, it's just a sabino splash :P

I know right? I think a fully grayed out barrai would look awesome on a black horse.
