I hope it's okay that I just stuck in one of my favorite chestnut studs for his sire That back leg is just so hideously awkward but it was the best thing I could whip up I JUST got this lovely boy from *ColoradoPeak-Stables and I felt he deserved a reference before I went to bed! So here he is, slightly more orange than I probably should've made him, but I wanted him to be burn-your-retinas coppery because MMM BRIGHT CHESTNUTS ARE DELICIOUS.
So I already love him, probably also because he's my first NORMAL thoroughbred that doesn't have some sort of weird marking pattern. Without further ado ladies and gentleman, Ruffian's Gold!

Name: CPs TCrS Ruffian's Gold Barn name: Goldylocks Gender: Colt Breed: Thoroughbred Age: Two years Height: 16.3hh (Projected 17hh) Color: Red Chestnut Genes: ee/AA Markings: Three stockings, blaze, one leg. Discipline: Flat-racing. Breeder: *ColoradoPeak-Stables Rider: Sunny Medina Sire/Dam: Giant's Causeway x CPs Ruffian Other names mentioned in lineage: (sire's side) - Storm Cat - Stormbird - Mariah's Storm - Secretariat - Northern Dancer - Nearctic - Natalma - Terlingua - Rahy Offspring: None yet For stud/lease: Not until older.
Personality: Rescued along with his dam from a PMU collection facility, it was a wonder how Goldy had been conceived under such horrible circumstances yet also sired by the wonderful Giant's Causeway. Or that such a beautiful mare of colt could've come out of such a place. The backstory revolving around his birth is somewhat blurry to us as his secondhand owners, but we were happy to take him on due to his stunning looks and amiable personality. We hope he'll do well on the track too, after he's had a bit of romping time with his new pasture mates, Vulpes and Zombie. He's always the first out of the currently aloof thoroughbred gang to greet visitors at the gate, and ever the gentleman in sharing his space and patience with those who love to stroke his brilliant copper coat.
